GDPR laws give European citizens the 'right to be forgotten' by companies that collect data on consumers. One of the ways MaxContact complies with this aspect of the law is to allow a customer’s personal information to be anonymised in the Lead and LeadPhone tables, the two tables that contain personal information.

How to Remove Personal Information;

In Manager Portal, users need to go to the Lead Search & Edit screen.

It will also advise the number will also be added to the DNC to avoid the customer being called in the future should their numbered be created as a lead in the system again after deletion.

From the drop down you need to select the DNC category the number will be housed under in the DNC list.

When a Lead is removed in this way, the personal information fields in the lead and lead phone tables are sanitised. Other fields are modified so the record cannot be called and the phone numbers belonging to the Lead are added to the do-not-call table.  Statistics for the lead will still be shown for reporting purposes but any information regarding the lead will have been removed and unavailable to view.
