Manual Imports
Skills need to be assigned to Leads for routing to work properly, here's how.
- Click on "Data" in the side menu within ManagerPortal.
- Select "Import Leads"
To import leads from a CSV file:
- Upload your .csv file containing the lead data
- Add any notes
- Choose the destination list to import the leads to
- Select a supplier and cost (optional)
- Once everything is configured, click "Next".
Option 1 & 2 below can be used in conjunction and are not exclusive to each other.
Option 1 - Select a Default Skill
After selecting the CSV and configuring basic import options, you can assign a skill group:
- On the Settings tab of the import screen, find the "Default Skill Group" field.
- Select the default skill group you want to assign to ALL leads in this import (only to be overridden if you assign a Skill Group to your leads).
Note - You can only assign one default skill group per import. This will apply to every imported lead. A default skill is not required and can be left as 'none', if you leave this as none you can still assign a Skill Group to your leads via the data import file.
Option 2 - Skill Group Per Lead
Ensure you have added a 'Skill Group/Skill Group ID' column to your .csv before importing. This column can have any name, just make sure its something memorable.
On the Lead table, there is the option to map data from your .csv to a 'SkillGroup' Field. This allows you to have different contacts within your data to be assigned different skills you have pre assigned via your .csv file.
- If you have a blank field in your .csv or you haven't mapped this AND you have set your Default Skill to "None", the contact will be imported but will be imported with No Default Skill Group.
- If you have a blank field in your .csv or you haven't mapped this AND you have set your Default Skill to one of the options, the contact will be imported and will be pre selected default Skill Group.
Note:
- Ensure your Skill Group Name or ID in your data file matches the ones configured in your system.
- These are NOT case sensitive.
API Imports
- Click on "Data" in the side menu within ManagerPortal.
- Select "Import API Mapping"
Select an existing API mapping or create and edit a new one.
- The majority of this will already be configured as part of onboarding API imports.
- Select and add a skill group you want to assign to ALL leads in this import.

Option 2 - Skill Group Per Lead
Don't forget to make sure the Skill Group Name/ID matches the ones that are setup as within the Outbound Skills page, otherwise the record will not be imported and will be rejected!
